Roll Scoot Roll

Happy April! Tessa turns 7 months in just over a week. :) I can barely believe it. Mitch left Sunday evening for Dubai and will be gone for a week and a half... and of course last night Tes really started rolling/scooting covering an area of like 5 by 6 feet! I'm tempted to stick her in the pack and play for a week and a half NOT! I have to keep cheering her on with every little roll and every little scoot and at this rate she is bound to be full on crawling by the time Mitch comes back! I feel a little guilty because watching her go is SUCH a blast. I never thought I could be so entertained and feel so accomplished by watching such little milestones.. its so fun! Anyway I know Tes isn't 7 months yet but Knowing me.. and the fact that were in the process of moving.. I'm going to add pictures from every month on this post..here goes.

First off-   Tes is asleep in my arms = pure bliss!! I am really Really blessed to have such a sweet thing in my life! I'm starting to get worried cause I can't lay her down when she's awake, simply because I never do. Why would I? I Love cuddling her! I just worry about the damage its causing in my arms because it proves that I wont be able to hold here forever!!

Next-   We got an informal job offer! Woot! But informal being the key word... hence the waiting title. I'm waiting for Mitch to come home so we can talk about it, so we can start planning a trip to the temple, so we can plan a trip to California, so we can start making money, so we can keep on keeping on!!!

Finally-   Tes is waking up.. I know it’s soon she has really got the cap napping thing down! I’m super excited to see where life takes us next. Super excited to spend time watching college ball with my man! We’re doing alright! J

Spring is in the air!

Things are going goood! Still haven't landed a dream job, BUT its sunny outside! I haven't lost any lbs from my not so loyal running, BUT we took Tes for a walk outside yay! And Tessa isn't sleeping much due to her teething, BUT she is sitting for minutes at a time, and can roll over both ways! Yes things are good. Thanks for all the prayers on our behalf.
Just one funny story and then I'll put up some pictures!! :)

We went in to get a family picture taken and the photographer told us to kiss Tessa on the cheeks. You couldn't tell that she was smiling because her chubby cheeks smooshed her lips together! After which Mitch put his finger in her mouth to measure how thick they are and according to his finger measurement her cheeks and 3 inches deep! Oh yeah chubby baby!

Unfortunately pictures are a little expensive so I didn’t buy that one to share..

a new start

SORRY MOM!! I'm not very good at writing....

So here is a catch up..

We are now living in Chicago! We left the Iceburg a couple weeks ago (after complaining about the snow covered roads) drove for 3 days, and settled into yet another tundra. I'm not sure what we were thinking. Florida probably would have made a little more sense... except I'm a little scared of the alligators..

It was really impromptu. We were planning on moving to Boise for work, but didn't feel good about it and decided a fresh start would be best. I can now say that I HATE moving! But Tessa was a champ through most of it.. here she is sitting on the counter the day I decided it was time to pack the kitchen. (she always pulls one of her legs into the chair and slouches gangster style!)

The drive was probably the worst part.. aside from cleaning the apartment! Me and Tes were in the car while the husband drove the moving truck. I wish it wasn't SO unsafe for 4 month olds to sit facing forwards in the car, it makes it Way to hard to help keep the binky in. By 6 the first night she was completely sick of her car seat and we still had two hours to drive. Thank goodness I have wonderful in-laws who were willing to meet us half way so I could sit next to Tessa the last day and a half of driving! THANK YOU!


So we made it safe and sound, and now have half way unpacked. We plan on only living with the in-laws just as long as it takes us to get into a place of our own. Unfortunately that means we need to find work. I can't believe how hard it is to find a job! My man sits on his laptop all day it seems applying and networking.. and FINALLY yesterday we got our first reply.. saying that there were no openings but we are on the top of the list for when one opens up.. at least its a start!

About me. Since the husbands been busy looking for work, and its FREEZING outside I've had plenty of time to get homesick. Don't get me wrong I'm doing okay. Just wanted to let you know I've thought about it. I'm trying to keep busy I started running again today, and I watch the bachelor each week! :)

Tessa is getting HUGE! She got her first bowl of rice just over a week ago.. and let me just tell you she has her mouth open wanting more the second I take the spoon out of her mouth. Its cute, but I swear she is already plumping up the little oinker! Last Tuesday she rolled over for the first time from her tummy to her back :) and you better believe we are now working on the back to the front. Her daddy has become some kind of drill master! Last night when me and daddy had a night on the town she not only held the bottle by herself but grandma said she was pulling it in and out of her mouth feeding herself! :) What else.. she just seems so smart. She tries to play the piano with grandma. When you hand her something she holds it close to her like its all she ever wanted. She practically has a SIX PACK ;) ..when she's laying down (on the floor or in your arms) she lifts her head and neck up (sometimes even her shoulders a little) when she wants to sit up. And she LOVES watching basketball and football, if the T.V is behind her she tips her head straight back so she can see behind her! :) SO CUTE!

Life is pretty good! And don't worry I'll post more pictures of Tessa when I get onto my computer.. hopefully soon! If someone sends me a text to remind me it'll be soon.. ;)

A little early...

So my Mans friend had his birthday yesterday, and I was allowed to have my Christmas present early!! It’s a new camera and I Love love love it! Here is some of the fun!!!

We went sledding, Tessas first time hence the need for the camera.. Except I was too chicken to bring it up on the hill = no actual sledding pictures + it was like 20 degrees so Tessa stayed super bundled up the whole time!

But no worries I've been taking plenty of other pictures!

Here we go!

A little of whats been going on..

I've been thinking a lot lately about the many things I've already learned  as a mom. Here are just a few. 

1. No matter how many naps you get through out the day and night, nothing beats a good eight hours of sleep... or even 6 hours for that matter.
2. You can't ever get enough of holding your own child.
3. It doesn't matter how  many times you're told, they grow up faster than you'll ever believe.
4. The pacifier is a gift sent from above!
5. People say that the sound of a heart beat is comforting to a baby, yet the sound of my baby's heart beat is very comforting to me as well.
6. Moms can't help but worry sometimes!

Wahoo! My husband and I won a free 30 min. photo shoot, and it was super cold and snowing during our session! Man was I worried our pictures were going to suck.. but as you can see they turned out way un-sucky!

And we were able to get Tessa blessed the first of the month. It was absolutely beautiful! :) Yes I cried... but give me a break, my friend even told me she didn't cry when her daughter was blessed but she couldn't stop the water works during Tessa's!

Well things are going  good! I'm trying to enjoy every min. I have with Tess before I have to go back to work. I'm so blessed to have all this time off and know my job is just there waiting for me! Life's so sweet!
