Thanksgiving!

I am super lucky! My husband is going to Florida for work and he is sending me to Idaho for a whole week! Then he is joining me for a whole nother week!!! YAY :) SO knowing that I am going to be out of town I wanted to put up a Thanksgiving post of a bunch of things I love and am so thankful for.

• Family! I have the best!
• Siblings that look alike! It doesn't even have to be siblings. Cousins, aunts, uncles! I just love that!
• Trail Mix! Lets just say if trail mix was its own food group I would have no problem getting my daily intake.
• The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! And my calling in the YW.
• My Beautiful Daughter! And the fact that I get to stay home and be her Mama!
• French Toast! With homemade syrup of course.
• Friends! Close and far. New and old. :)
• The Gym! Gym classes, day care, and cool people that inspire me to go everyday.
• Phone Calls! Not the quick "I'm here so come let me in your gate" but the "I was just thinking about you" kind that ends up lasting a while.
• Crafts! Just cause they make me happy.
• Mitch! Not only does he put up with a bit of a nut case but he loves me.
• Walks! Exercise or leisure. Alone or accompanied. Long or short. :)
• Pictures! I'm obsessed with taking them of Tessa, but I love my old shoebox full of old family and friend snap shots.
• Swimming! I really don't know how to swim! But there are days that I wish I was in Bear Lake swimming with family. Its soo relaxing.
• Tickling Wars! Tessa has the cutest laugh. And I can beat Mitch. :)
• Candles! And all other good smelling things.
• Ice Cream! Even though I'm a bit of a snob after working at Caspers.. Any flavor! Any Time!
• Reunions! Life is so crazy we have to set aside a few days just to all be together. Thank goodness.
• Music! It can instantly change my mood. :) And with out it we would never dance!!!
• Games! Maybe just cause I'm competitive.. I just really enjoy sitting around a table playing games all night!
• Learning! I don't know a whole lot.. but there is SO much out there to learn for everyone! Makes ya want to pick up a book huh.
• Sunshine! Probably cause I grew up in Idaho and winter last for more than half the year.
• Date Night! I learned long before I got married that its important to continue dating through marriage.. but I just recently learned why personally. :)
• Snail Mail! I LOVE getting letters!

          And

• Babies! Learning, loving, smiling, ooing gooing, so small so perftect! So need another one. :)

The Long Awaited

I know you are all just as excited as I am, the camera cord has been delivered! Yippee! Here is the photographic proof of my sweet baby girls first birthday! There are a LOT.. at the request of family. :)

It was windy so I was super impressed that Mitch got the candle to stay lit.

Mitch tryed to feed it to her, so she would figure out how good it was...

And when that didn't work he smashed her hand in it.. :( she didn't like that at all!

She just wanted her bottle!

Don't worry Mitch took her on the slides to make up for his mean actions!

And of course she got to stay up past her bed time and play with all her new toys!

It was such a good night. We really are blessed to have so many great friends!

Tessa and I spent some time at the beach. How many girls born in Idaho get to go to the beach on the week of there first birthday? :)

 

We drove through the night that weekend to take Tessa to her first BYU football game. Here she is showing off for the camera after spending the whole night in the car.

 

Not the best game in BYU history..  But it wasn't a waste of a drive. We had a small party for Tessa with my family and spent time with other family and friends! :)

I never blog this much..

I must say California has its perks. Not only is the weather nice year round but in the area we live there are some really pretty places to take pictures. Hint hint, hehe.  I know this amazing lady! She is in our ward. She gave me her phone number the first night we met. (At least I remember it being the first time we met) She is such a sweetheart. We've gone walking together :). She took a couple really cute pictures of Tessa and me on the Fourth of July. She has a gift when it comes to taking said pictures. Well this super amazing lady took our family pictures this past week. She sent me them tonight and I just have to share some with who ever still looks at this blog!! Needless to say I highly recommend her. If you want to check her out or just look at more really really cute  pictures her blog is rosebudpics.blogspot.com l Okay here goes. Okay I still don't have my new camera cord.. and I know its not Oct 3rd yet! To pass the time without my new pictures I was going through some old pictures of Tessa to find some cute ones to print out for her scrapbook and I found these. The first one kept me laughing for a very long time. So I thought I needed to share it!  I looked at the next couple all taken within 1 min of each other and it just tells a cute little story I think. ENJOY!

September birthdays are the funnest birthdays!

I am sooo so so excited that Tessa's birthday is only 6 days after mine! I am already planning spa outings and shopping trips.

Mitch spoiled me on my birthday and some good friends baby sat Tessa so we could go out! ( umm THANK YOU! ) It was really cute we hadn't even left the drive way and Mitch went into panic mode, "We just left our baby." LOL but he had good reason, she was almost a year old and it was the first time Mitch had ever left her with someone besides me or a family member. :) He loves his baby girl!

We had a birthday party for Tessa with some friends we've made. ( I need to apologize to Mitch.. I had some serious homesick issues leading up to it. 1st birthdays are kind of a big deal and I was missing my family more than ever! ) Our apartment is tiny considering the amount of people we wanted to celebrate with. So we had it at a cute little park. It was a little chilly as the sun began to set but all in all it was a major success!! We also went to the beach and Tessa went to her first BYU football game! :) (I'm in denial that she is bad luck...worst game in the history of BYU... we'll just let some time pass before we go to another one)

I'm really REALLY sad I lost my camera cable so I can't get all the cute birthday pictures off. my camera. UGH! The new cable is in the mail and I should get it between Oct 3 and Oct 16. Praying for the 3rd!!

Last week I took Tessa to her one year appointment. Turns out she wasn't just moody from teething but she has an ear infection in both ears. Poor thing. But at least it's her first. And I was lectured on feeding her. Guess I suck cause she is in the 5th percentile. Her Dr. is concerned since she has only gained 3 lbs in the last six months... I'm feeling bad. So thanks to all my sweet friends that say she looks healthy and adorable and say I shouldn't worry about it. :) Sure helps. And here's to the fatty almond milk putting on a few pounds! Cheers.
