Blessing

Mitch was able to bless Kennedy this past Sunday. Mitch's parents flew out and his grandparents made the trip as well. It was so nice to have some family here. Just wish we could have had more. Missed my Daddy especially. Its hard living so far from family.

We have a lot of good friends in our ward.. so the circle was big. One friend told me that right before the blessing little Kennedy reached her hand up and rested it on Mitch's forearm. How tender is that! He gave her a beautiful blessing and we enjoyed an afternoon with friends and family. :) Special weekends like this always go by too fast!
All but two of the men who stood in the circle.

Pumpkins

We love the fall! Mostly for the football. But this past week fall weather actually came to southern california so during half time (of the BYU game of course) I convinced my husband that we needed to go to the pumpkin patch. I was afraid if we waited for the end of the game it would be too cold or windy to have Kennedy out for pictures. Which seems silly in today's 93 degree weather. Yeah.. oh well we didn't miss out on much of a game. And we had a blast! :)

Thanks for the cute dresses Karen!

3 Weeks?

What? My baby is already 3 weeks old?? How does that even happen!? UGH. This is why I don't get a darn thing done all day.. besides taking care of Tess and straightening a few things here and there (my poor husband!)  I have to eat up all the newborn baby cuddling time I have. Thank goodness I know lots of women who are having babies in the next 6 months to help me deal with the loss of littleness that comes with each day. :'(

Kennedy had a Dr. appointment yesterday. Her Doc was super impressed by her strength and let me know that there is a very good chance she will be an early crawler/walker. Which means she will seem bigger sooner! Lol I know I'm ridiculous!

As for Tessa.. well she has started having an awful lot more melt downs in one day adjusting to Kennedy. But she is soo cute with her little sister. She likes to hold her hand and give her kisses. And my personal favorite is when she just talks to her, "We're at church Kennedy! Love you Kennedy. Baby Kennedy happy. It's okay baby Kennedy, it's okay!" its soo sweet.

And of course I've been busy taking pictures! :) Loving my girls!

ONE WEEK!

Another baby story:

 (I'll keep it short!)

On Wednesday the 12th we went into the hospital to be induced. So excited to have my second baby girl come into the world.  They gave me a yucky painful IV! Which I all but passed out getting. Never want one of those again! My wonderful Dr. broke my water around 8:45 a.m. Finally contractions started coming at 9 a.m. Which tells you how ready I was to have this baby because I got excited.. and yes a little scared.. but mostly excited that I was finally having a contraction! They came strong and fast and painful but I suffered through them. There was one little scare the cord was wrapped around her neck but they told me not to push and Dr. moved fast! And at 10:28 Kennedy finally left her home inside my tummy. :) It took a little longer than we liked for her to start crying but those few seconds seem like an eternity to Moms and Dads and from what we can tell didn't really affect her at all. I feel SO BLESSED! Both my little angels have come into the world so fast and without any problems! :)

Meeting big sister!

Tessa turns two!:

My baby girl turned two on Friday the 14th! Where does the time go? I know I just had a baby but I tear up every time I think about how fast time has gone since Tessa was born and how in just a couple months Kennedy will already be So big. SIGH. Anyway. My wonderful Mother flew out on the 13th to lend me a hand, meet her brand new grand baby, and celebrate Tessa's birthday!
It was a pretty chill day. Mitch made minnie mouse and "T" shaped pancakes. Tessa opened lots of presents.  And we just enjoyed a day inside the AC house.
On the 15th we had Tessa's birthday party! My sweet two year old was SOO excited she giggled on the drive to the park. My car let me know it was 107 degrees outside but luckily we celebrated at a park with a pavilion. We invited all of her nursery friends and a couple of our friends. They played with chalk, crayons and ball pit balls! There were lots of cupcakes, fruit snacks, jello, pb and j sandwiches, and capri suns. Aside from the heat which really only seemed to bug the adults it was a fun little party. :)

Compare and Contrast:

So I can't help but spend a great deal of time comparing Kennedy to pictures of Tessa! Its fun to see that they have some similar features but look so different too. :) Here's some photo prof!

The first picture is Kennedy the second is Tessa.

Only a couple hours old!

Just a day old!

6 days old!

It has been an amazing first week! Thanks to my Mom for flying all the way out to help! Thanks to my Husband for being there to hold my hand, comfort and help. Thanks to the ward members who have brought us meals! Thanks to my Heavenly Father for blessing us with another beautiful healthy girl!

Fun with Friends!

My AWESOME friend Jessie came to visit with her adorable girls! It was a week of sun, fun and girl chats that went by way way too fast. Miss you girls already! Totally wish we'd gotten a better picture of the two of us. Or one of all of us together. Ugh. Next trip! ;)

And a little update.. Dr. checked me on Monday and I'm dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced. :) Pretty exciting. I was at a 2 and 80% six days before I had Tessa so I'm guessing she'll be here sometime in the next couple weeks! Tessa grabs my tummy daily and says, "baby sister out!" At least one of us is ready. Wish us all luck!

And of course..
HaPpY BiRtHdAy week babe! We love you!

Pinterest Anyone?

Okay so I've been on a pinterest craft kick lately and I learned something.  EVERYTHING looks SOO easy on those cute little pin boards! But when I get my hands on trying to make these adorable things it  is everything but easy! Its okay though because the only thing that is really perfect in our house is our little girl (s) ;) so these crafts wont be put into an art exhibit or anything but they add a little somthing to my not so decorated house.

Toilet paper roll wall art.
This was the easiest and fastest and probably looks the best close up.

Yarn letters.
These were A LOT harder than I thought they would be. I learned my lesson fast that block letters are much easier to wrap then round ones.

 Crib Skirt
I made Mitch promise me that I wouldn't try to make anything like this again until I learn how to sew.. or maybe get a sewing machine. I did cheat and use one of our old queen sized bed skirts as a base.

It turned out okay from a distance! And Kennedy is our lead name right now. We are NOT promising that its going to be what goes on our her birth certificate.. There is no saying what I'll do after giving birth a second time!
